The trust has now completed the process of election of our next director according to the model rules of the organisation. I am delight to say that Alan Findlay has been elected unopposed.
This should be popular with trust members as Alan has worked tirelessly since it’s formation,he is a guy who says it as it is [...]

New trust director
January 30, 2009Well done to the Berwick Trust
January 28, 2009After a long hard and bitter struggle the Berwick fans through their supporters trust now have a substantial say in how to take the club forward.
This should be held up as an example of what can be achieved.
I will ask this question, since their trust was formed how many directors have been through the revolving door at [...]

Good win over the border
January 25, 2009Sounds from all reports that Berwick still had grudges left from our last meeting
When watching Jeff Stelling and he said Forrest was sent off I first thought Del “run Forrest run” Carcary had got a red, still a good result keeps us in touch.
Noticed Annan had a good win too they are coming to terms with [...]
I make no apology for this post
January 23, 2009Interesting news about the troubles of Stranraer F.C.
They cannot sustain their wage bill of 250K a year on crowds of 250-300
This begs the question ,how do D.F.C. manage to sustain a full time manager and players who were at full time clubs last season on crowds of 500-600.?
Although the commercial dept run not by Mr [...]
Sad news from Hamilton
January 21, 2009Meanwhile, sad news for Accies fans was received at lunchtime today with news of the death this morning of our infamous fan Ian ‘Fergie’ Russell who was 71. Ill health meant he hadn’t attended a match for six years, however the club still received regular enquiries about him. Known throughout the country to players and [...]
Do we really need yellow fascists at our games
January 18, 2009Again yesterday away fans were subjected to childish ,puerile ,aggression from stewards at S.H.S.
The club will end up losing revenue from away fans and Stenny are one of the few teams who bring a decent support.
What if they decide to boycott visits to our games think about it 100 x £11.
The thing that really upsets me [...]
Lets hear it for the team !!!!!
January 17, 2009Today is a watershed for our season,a win is a must, nothing less will do.
Lets just think about the season for a moment what have we had.
First of all we have seen more than “green shoots of recovery”, Jim Chapman has brought together a fair few talents ,the like of which we have not seen in [...]
When saturday comes
January 16, 2009I picked up a copy of this for the first time in a while, this is an excellent read for any fair minded football fan.
There was an interesting article about 80 Stoke fans on the way to a game in Manchester, their buses were pulled in by the police and sent back to Stoke as the local [...]
Credit crunch
January 15, 2009Here’s a question. What lower league Scottish football club will feel the full force of the credit crunch first?
Will it be Dumbarton? We still don’t know how the Brabco people are getting their money.
Hopefully not from any of the banks that are currently in trouble. Take your pick on that one.
The sons are 137 years old [...]
